The King I Saw - by K.P.Vedhik

The King I saw was broken and like a glass;
With battles behind and the battles refused;
No glory, no cheer, He fell in the dark;
Yet rose every time, pushing past years.

The King who failed, The King who cried;
With a crown of pain upon his head;
They mocked his dream, they shut the gate,
But he kept walking challenging fate.

The King who tried, With fire in soul,
Each step ahead, each step wound a goal;
He didn't seem thrones made of gold.
He ruled his well The Storm inside himself;

The King who did, with silent might;
No need to boast, no need for light.
He fought for truth, not for applause
A King of purpose, not for laws.

So if you fail, don't end the tale,
Even kings rise when heroes fail.
For the King I saw was just like you;
He fell, he rose and saw it through.
